Another great hiking snack – Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies

I tried out another recipe for a hiking snack.  This time Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies!

This is a very tasty cookie and will transport better than the muffins I made earlier in the week.  Similar to the muffins, these cookies also have oatmeal in them so they are a good hiking snack.

It is always important to keep up your energy while hiking and recording your GPS Hiking Tracks.

Do you have a favorite hiking snack?  Any recipe suggestions?

  • Hi,I do a lot of hiking tghuurhoot the year, in both remote and non-remote areas and in all kinds of weather etc.. The one thing I always have with me in my Dog, Bowser, so for me Garmin offers the Astro 220, which is almost identical to the 60CSX with the additional benefit that it tracks Bowser at all times via the small receiver/transmitter he wears on his back in a small harness or on his collar. I could track him for up to 12 miles if he and I were to get seperated. He goes everywhere including swimmingwith it on his back and I go everywhere secure in the knowledge that I will never lose him.Lou Mazero
